'Barbara Jean the Vintage Airstream' is a 1968 International Overlander Land Yacht
Purchased and renovated by Scott Roberts, 'Barbara Jean' is an homage to his mother who loved to travel. With Scott's design ideas, this 1968 Airstream is completely refurbished from tip-to-toe with new electrical, new plumbing, new insulation, new floor, new axles, suspension, and wheels. The cabinetry was executed by a former interior cabinet maker for custom luxury airlines, overall work was completed by Hoss Cameron in Avoca, Arkansas.
Founder of telescope maker Explore Scientific, Scott Roberts uses the Airstream as his office and living quarters on his trips to star parties across the country. Over the last several years, the Barbara Jean has been at events dotting the country from the Florida Keys to the Pacific Northwest. It has even been to the home of Airstream, in Jackson Center Ohio.
