Eyepieces & Accessories

The right eyepieces and accessories can transform the performance of any telescope. This collection brings together Explore Scientific telescope eyepieces alongside the essential accessories that help you get the most from every observing session, including star diagonals, focal extenders (Barlow-style lenses), optical filters, finder scopes and more.

Our waterproof eyepieces span value-focused, wide-field and ultra-wide designs, letting you choose the magnification and field of view that suit the Moon, planets, star clusters or nebulae. Accessories such as nebula and Moon filters improve contrast and comfort, dielectric diagonals provide bright and comfortable viewing angles, and finder scopes help you locate targets quickly. Whether you are upgrading a beginner telescope or fine-tuning an advanced setup, these telescope accessories and eyepieces make it easy to see more detail and enjoy the night sky in comfort.

If you are just starting out, consider building your kit in stages: first a quality low-power and high-power eyepiece, then a star diagonal and finder upgrade, followed by filters and a focal extender. Each addition expands what your telescope can show you. Explore Scientific accessories are designed to work with a wide range of telescopes, including refractors, Newtonian reflectors, Dobsonians and Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes. With the right combination of eyepieces and accessories, you will get noticeably sharper, more comfortable and more productive observing sessions.
